In 2007-2008, MUSE Cincinnati's Women's Choir celebrates 25 years of using their voice as an agent for social change. Beginning this fall, MUSE joins seven other musical and spoken word acts Saturday, September 29th, at "Arts for Change"; an evening of socially conscious music at St. John's UU Church, Clifton. In October, MUSE sings in memory of victims of Domestic Violence on Tuesday the 16th at 6:45 pm, at the Annual Vigil on the Courthouse steps. And, on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, MUSE is proud to be Artistic Sponsor for the Healthcare Connection's presentation of Sweet Honey in the Rock, performing at the Aronoff.
MUSE's fall concert, "Rapt in Love" celebrates our desire for social change as women in caring and supportive relationships. Hum along to old favorites like "Marie", "Simply Love" and "Wanderlust", as we sing our MUSE "herstory" with renewed passion.
w/Special Guest Artist, Wishing Chair.
Sat. Nov 17 @ 8:00 pm & Sun. Nov 18 at 3:00 pm, St. John's UU Church, Clifton.
Ten Thousand Villages - O'Bryonville honors MUSE with a Fair Trade Shopping Day on Friday, November 28th, by contributing a portion of their proceeds to anyone who mentions MUSE at the time of purchase. Finally, MUSE rounds out the year singing holiday and seasonal tunes from around the globe at the Scheben branch of Boone County Library, on December 7th.
Don't miss the beginning of our exciting 25th Anniversary season, and watch our website as we add more events that honor our past, celebrate our present, and sing to the future of peace and social change through musical excellence.
